How mobile RV repair pricing works
Almost every mobile RV bill has the same three parts: a trip fee for coming to you, hourly labor, and parts. The figures below are national ranges from RV Help (updated October 2026), built from technician quotes sent through RV Help in 2025–2026 and published RV extended-warranty claims data. They are orientation, not quotes — your pro confirms their own fees before any work starts.
| Charge | Typical national range |
|---|---|
| Trip / service-call fee (per visit) | $75 – $150 |
| Hourly labor — mobile tech | $145 – $180 / hour |
| Hourly labor — national average (warranty industry) | $150 – $170 / hour |
| Hourly labor — dealership service centers | $129 – $189 / hour |
| Towing an RV to a shop (for comparison) | About $4 – $7 / mile |
Common repairs — parts & labor combined
| Repair | Typical national range |
|---|---|
| Fresh water system (pump, lines, fittings) | $200 – $900 |
| Furnace / heating | $300 – $1,500 |
| Waste system (tanks, valves, toilet) | $400 – $3,400 |
| Generator | $400 – $4,000 |
| Leveling system | $500 – $2,000 |
| Slide-outs | $500 – $1,700 |
| Roof air conditioner | $600 – $3,500 |
| Refrigerator | $600 – $3,500 |
How to read the wide ranges: the low end is usually a diagnosis plus a part — a water pump, an igniter board, a slide motor. The high end is replacing the whole unit. Most everyday mobile visits land toward the low end.
Why won't mobile techs give free estimates?
Many RV repairs total a few hundred dollars, while a free estimate visit would cost a tech roughly 2–2½ hours of driving and diagnosing unpaid. And on RVs, finding the problem often is the job — the swap itself may take 20 minutes once diagnosed. (RV Help)
What should I ask before I book?
What's your hourly rate and minimum? What does the trip fee include — is any diagnostic time built in? If a part must be ordered, is there a second trip fee for the return visit? Do you have a flat price for this job? A straight pro answers all four without blinking.
Is mobile more expensive than a dealer shop?
Usually not by much — labor ranges overlap. With a shop, you handle getting the rig there (or pay for a tow) and wait for an opening, which in busy season can mean weeks. (RV Help)

Your request goes to mobile RV technicians who serve the Salt Lake Valley. They call or text you with availability and how their fees work. You decide whether to book — or not.
Tip from working techs: photos, model numbers, and a clear description of the symptoms help a pro bring the right parts and diagnose faster. Add what you can in the notes.
